chicken salad sandwiches
- 2 cups cold shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup finely diced celery
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp dill
- salt and pepper to taste
- lettuce leaves (optional)
- tomato slices (optional)
- bread or buns
Mix chicken, celery, mayonaise, mustard, and seasonings until fully combined. Place in the fridge for at least an hour.
On bread or buns, place chicken salad, garnishing with lettuce leaves and/or tomatoes as desired.
Recipe Hints
- if you are trying to cut carbs, put the chicken salad in a bowl and eat it without the bread
- switch out the regular mayonaise for flavoured mayonaise (you may want to hold the mustard, depending on the mayo flavour) or Miracle Whip
